| Stage #18; Annecy - Annecy (Time Trial - 40.5km) :: The 96th Tour de France / Le Tour de France :: France If they ain't tired yet they might be so after todays time trial in stage eighteen. Along the lake of Annecy at 500m above sealevel the riders will have a individual time trial to complete. Beautifull to ride along a lake but it will be a tough stage, as the wind might play up, you cant lose time today or you might lose the TDF and there's a third category climb which is nearly 4km long at a slope of 6%. An interesting stage aka time trial. Official comment: "In this gorgeous setting, the Tour’s last time-trial often marks the end of the struggle. But the 2009 Tour is not over yet because the loop around Lake Annecy is approximately just 40 km long, and above all because the final battle is still to come." |
